This post is a little dedication to a rather special lady in my life: my mom. (Right in time for the Holiday spirit, ay?!) Those of you who follow me on instagram probably know what’s coming, but for those of you who don’t, let me set the scene. Knitting is all the rage now, and while I enjoy knitting a scarf or a beanie from time to time (I’m a beginner, don’t get too excited), my mom spends her evenings knitting cable sweaters, complicated scarves and whatnot. She will tell you that’s she is no pro herself, but she is getting better by the day. And even more important is that she really enjoys it. We, my dad and I, can’t complain because we are lucky enough to get some of her works as presents. Remember this knit? That was one of her first tries, pretty good huh?
The knit you see me wearing here is also by her hands. She got the pattern of lnknits and altered the measurements so it would fit me just right. It consists out of the softest alpaca wool and is therefor the absolute perfect company on a chilly winter night. Hell, I’ve been wearing it non-stop. Thanks mommy, I love it!
PS. Hello first pictures taken with my new lens!
